Dendrobium fuscifaucium – rare miniature orchid from Laos This botanical rarity was first described in 2022 by Souvannakhoummane & Kumar and is still a very uncommon species in cultivation. It is especially attractive for its small flowers with a dark, chocolate-colored throat/lip center. Culture: bright to semi-shaded position, preferably mounted or grown in a very airy substrate. Keep temperate to cool-temperate, around 18–25 °C during the day, slightly cooler at night. Water evenly during active growth; after leaf drop, keep it a little drier and cooler. A compact and unusual collector’s orchid — perfect for vivariums, terrariums, or lovers of rare botanical Dendrobium species.

Our colleague Hans Hassinger from Hassinger Orchideen bred this successful hybrid of Epidendrum capricornu and hugomedinae and had it officially registered with the RHS in England on December 8th, 2021. This medium-high species is characterized by a long flowering period. In addition, it also blooms several times a year. The leaves of the new shoots first turn pink and then turn green over time.We offer you beautifully cultivated and strong plants in 9/10cm pots.
