Tillandsia crocata
Tillandsia crocata is native to South America and is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. It grows primarily on rocks (lithophytic) at elevations ranging from about 875 to 2,650 meters.
The species was first described in 1880 under the name Phytarrhiza crocata and classified as Tillandsia crocata in 1882.
